As I was traveling through Bedford returning from a Mother’s Day family affair, I wound up at the Flight 93 National Memorial. I had been there before, but there seemed to be a special kind of reverence here on Mother’s Day. Despite the frigid cold and windy day, I got the camera out to snap some photos:
Medals and pins, among other trinkets of memorabilia, are scattered around the memorial in remembrance of individuals lost in the crash.
Every time I come back to the site, the wall seems more and more cluttered with artifacts of the victims. This photo only shows a small portion of a very large wall of memorials.
This HDR Image is a composition of 7 shots from 1/250 to 1/4000 shutter speed. This is a shot of the crash site framed by the memorial.
