As a treat for Valerie’s birthday last weekend, I surprised her with a Couple’s Night cooking class at Gaynor’s School of Cooking in Station Square (or is it South Side? not really sure… in between I suppose).
- Candied ginger chopped by yours, truly.
- Bruschetta Topping
- “Really, are you taking a picture now?”
The menu for the evening was:
- Marinated Skewered Flank Steak
- Roasted Vegetable Bruschetta
- Goat Cheese Souffle
- Asian Pear and Avocado Salad
- Dried Fruit Compote with Gingerbread Cake
- Bruschetta anchovy paste
- Bruschetta ready to eat!
- Avocado and Asian pear salad, with sunflower seeds
- Bruschetta in it’s Italian glory!
- Table set for dozens of attendees
- Goat cheese souffle (Hot salty marshmallow)
The chef/instructor was very helpful in guiding us through the recipes. I never realized how complicated a souffle was to make. The best part about the class is that all of the ingredients were purchased for us, ready to go, and they did the dishes for us! They even included wine for dinner. For the cost of a 5 course meal anywhere else in Pittsburgh, we had an enjoyable experience that was a perfect date night.
Thanks This good post, i like you posting, yeahh very goods. thanks.
